Swiss launches new holiday packages

Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) has launched a new range of holiday packages through its own travel specialist, Swisstours. Swisstours, a division of Swiss, is the airlines tour operator, putting together the best value packages in line with the Swiss network.

Available from till December 31, 2005, Swisstours has put together a selection of Switzerland-based holiday packages tailored for travellers departing from Dubai. The packages include economy class airfares on Swiss, accommodation, rail transfers and excursions to numerous sites across the country.
Passengers can choose from Tops of Switzerland a Dh3,730 per person package of five days and four nights, including stops in Lucerne on Lake Geneva and the breathtaking Interlaken or a Swiss Highlights package for Dh5,190 per person, which include eight days and seven nights, taking in Geneva, Zermatt, Lucerne and Interlaken, with excursion that take in the sights of Jungfraujoch and Mount Pilatus. Other choices include the Mount Titlis Experience or the Lake Geneva and Matterhorn Region tour.
Felix Rodel, Swiss’ area manager for the Middle, Iran and Pakistan, said: “Each year we see a greater demand from Gulf travellers looking to visit Switzerland, particularly those travelling with their families.”
Swiss’ daily non-stop service to Zurich from Dubai, modern fleet and high quality service mean that passengers reach of the heart of Switzerland efficiently, and can then enjoy Switzerland’s advance internal transportation system. Swiss believes that a holiday should begin before takeoff, with in-flight service of Swiss ice-cream, tantalising Swiss cuisine and a multi-lingual hospitality that the Swiss are renowned for.
Rodel continued: “Our close association with Switzerland Tourism, our hotel partners and travel associations makes for enjoyable and hassle-free holidays in Switzerland. However, the launch of Swisstours here in the UAE has allowed us to bring our expertise directly to our customers.” Swisstours also offers a selection of accommodation for travellers looking to make their own journey plans, including services apartments, such as Schwizi’s Reosrt on Lake Brienz and the Chalet Abendrot in Grindelwald.
