Swiss pavilion at Global Village
DUBAI: Switzerland is to participate in next year’s Global Village, one of the highlights of the upcoming Dubai Shopping Festival.

The Global Village will see many new country Pavilions next year. The Village will be operating during 79 days next year, from January 12 to March 31 and will be relocated to the Dubailand site. For the first time in the 10-year history of the Global Village Switzerland will participate in this much awaited event. Visitors to the Pavilion will be able to experience Switzerland first hand, as companies display their products and services in a typical Swiss environment.

Alitalia, Kempinski offer free tickets
AJMAN: Alitalia and Ajman Kempinski Hotel & Resort are offering diners the chance to win Economy and Business class tickets to various European destinations till the end of this month when eating out at any of the hotel’s restaurants. These include Bukhara, the Grumpy Gourmet award-winning Indian restaurant, Sabella’s, the Italian fine-dining restaurant, Hai Tao, the traditional Chinese restaurant or Café Kranzler, the all-day dining coffee shop. Guests can enter a business card raffle draw to win one of four economy class and one business class tickets to any of the destinations Alitalia is flying to in Europe. Winners will be announced in the first week of January 2005.
 
Dubai to host Helishow
DUBAI: The Middle East’s first International Helicopter Technology and Operations Exhibition, the Dubai Helishow, will be held at the Dubai Airport Expo from December 6 to 9. It will target both military and commercial segments of the industry and will act as a forum to showcase technology upgrades in every conceivable aspect of the helicopter industry. The exhibition is being organised under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister, and is being supported by the UAE Air Force. Dubai Helishow 2004 holds great significance for the region, considering the growing interest and development in this sector of the aviation industry.
