Surprises in store at Le Meridien Sharm El Sheikh

Le Meridien Sharm El Sheikh has lined up a number of surprises for visitors to the Egyptian resort this summer.

The international hotel group's newest resort in Egypt is offering a free night's stay to guests for every five nights spent at the hotel.

A raft of action is promised to the sports enthusiast inside and outside the hotel including a white sandy beach, three pools with under water music, diving in one of the world's great diving sites, snorkeling, windsurfing and canoeing.

There are also tennis courts, beach volleyball, football and golfing at a nearby 18-hole golf course.

For the food-lover, executive chef Michel Miraton will conjure up a range of gourmet delights at one of the hotels various restaurants and bars.

"Our aim here at Le Meridien Sharm El Sheikh is to prepare superior cuisine exceeding client's expectations in our various restaurants and bars serving international, Italian, Egyptian and seafood specialties," said Miraton, who joined the hotel recently and packs 25 years of experience in the industry.

"We will provide our guests with an unforgettable experience in beautiful and authentic surroundings."

Children have not been forgotten at the resort.

"They can enjoy their vacation, at the Penguin Club with its own snack bar, pool, playground and indoor video games room, allowing them to enjoy their vacation to the maximum," said a hotel spokesman.

The hotel, located in one of Egypt's fastest growing tourist areas, strongly believes in maintaining high environmental standards and its clean-up team works every week to clean the beach, corals, public areas and the hotel's surroundings.

"Our main objective is to establish environmental conscious staff and guests in order to preserve in good condition the limited sources of the environment," says general manager Rudolf Borgesius.
