Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai has planned a wide selection of activities especially for the Holy month of Ramadan. Dine beneath the moonlit sky in elegant poolside tents with majlis seating Lialli Ramadan, or savour Iftar buffets at Marrakech Restaurant which will be themed as a Moroccan night market. Cooled by the late evening breeze, the resort-styled pool deck of the hotel will feature three beautiful tents offering a wide selection of mezzeh (appetizers), delicious hot dishes, saag and oriental sweets. Shisha will be available in a delightful variety of flavours. A special touch for Lialli Ramadan poolside is the inclusion of daily live food stations featuring Ramadan specialties from Asia. Light Arabic music completes the unique Ramadan experience. During Ramadan, the Marrakech restaurant will be closed during the day time but will come to life at sunset with a special Iftar Buffet Menu available until 8pm. The restaurant will be themed to reflect the famous night market in Marrakech. Following the Iftar Buffet, the a la carte menu will be served until late. For the dining pleasure of non-fasting guests, Dunes Café will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an all day menu complemented by a wide range of fruit juices and other non-alcoholic beverages. The hotel’s signature restaurant Shang Palace will be closed for lunch but will be open for dinner and the Vietnamese restaurant, Hoi An will also be open for dinner. Guests staying at the hotel are well catered for with a special room service menu for Sahoor. The Sahoor Menu is complemented by a range of specialty juices including Jalab and Tamar Hindi (dates) and Kamar el Dine (apricots).
