Fun in the sun at the Grand Hyatt

Grand Hyatt Dubai, the emirate’s first City Resort, has been busy playing host to younger guests during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) with non-stop fun taking place in the hotel’s Summer Surprise tent which is situated on the hotel’s Events Lawn.

“The first few weeks of Summer Surprises have proved extremely popular with younger visitors to the hotel - even Modhesh couldn’t keep away and dropped by a couple of times to help join in the festivities,” revealed Peter Fulton, general manager, Grand Hyatt Dubai.
July 24 kicked off Ice Surprises week, taking the heat out of summer with Ice Castles and Icing Surprise and a chance to make friends with some very unseasonal snowmen on July 25. 
The week finished off with a topical movie Ice Age on July 30.
There’s the opportunity to take a step back in time during Heritage Surprises with activities in the Mini Heritage Camp on August 7 (6-8pm) and River Racing and Pearl Diving on August 8 (noon-1pm and 4-5pm).  There’s Sand Painting on August 9 (noon-1pm and 4-5pm) and fun at the Paint the Dishdasha event on August 13 (noon-1pm and 4-5pm).
Adventure Surprises kicks off with an exciting Treasure Hunt on August 14 (noon-1pm and 4-5pm), followed by Pool Games on August 15 (4-6pm).  There’s a chance to train to Become a Life Guard on August 19 (4-6pm) with the week wrapping up with the much-loved movie Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (noon-2.30pm and 4-6.30pm) on August 20th.
The final week of Summer Surprises is Back-2-School with a chance to learn and have fun at the same time.  Teacher’s Pet on August 21 (noon-1pm and 4-5pm) gives youngsters the chance to make their own cards for their teachers when they get back to school. There are Jigsaw Puzzles on August 22 and August 28 (noon-1pm and 4-5pm) and buy and sell with Play Money on August 27 and August 29 (noon-2pm and 4-6pm).
