Conrad Hotels, the luxury brand of the Hilton Group, has added another flagship property to its global portfolio with the opening of the Conrad Bangkok.

The latest addition to Conrad's 15-strong portfolio, introduces the Thai market to a new hospitality concept representing the brand's luxury qualities, while offering business and leisure travellers the best of both worlds.

"We are delighted to announce the opening of our first property in Bangkok as well as our 15th hotel worldwide. We are positioning the Conrad Bangkok as a flagship hotel with a 'new attitude', delivering both a superior product and an exceptional level of service, says a hotel spokesman.

"It is all about attention to detail and that is something Conrad has tremendous expertise in", said Clem Barter, president of Conrad Hotels.

"The contemporary, 392-room, five-star deluxe property is ideally located in All Seasons Place, Bangkok's premier integrated office, retail, residential and hotel development, in the bustling business district, close to embassies, shopping malls and Sky Train transportation.

"The guest rooms, discreetly influenced by Thai decorative handiwork, are unusually spacious and offer the latest communications technology. With a deluxe spa and fitness centre, a 36-metre rooftop swimming pool and dogging track as well as floodlit tennis courts, the hotel offers the ultimate leisure facilities.

"The hotel's innovative food and beverage outlets will showcase creative cuisine. Guests can choose from five different destination concepts - '87' offering a global menu including Middle Eastern favourites, 'Drinking Tea, Eating Rice' serving Japranese cuisine, 'Liu' for Chinese dishes, 'Cafe @ 2' for all day dining and the relaxed setting of 'The Diplomat Bar'."

Gregory Meadows, general manager of the Conrad Bangkok, said: "We are here to anticipate our guests' needs and ensure delivery is at its best. We want this hotel to be their home away from home. The hotel has a number of unique features such as the glass-walled bathrooms with free-standing bathtubs and separate shower cabins. Our attention to details in terms of concept, design and cuisine is totally innovative for Bangkok".

Synonymous with Conrad's meeting facilities worldwide, the hotel features one of Bangkok's most versatile and spacious conference and banqueting amenities including three ballrooms, with the largest accommodating up to 800 people seated, a 24-hour business centre and state-of-the-art meeting and function rooms.

The hotel will offer special executive and weekend packages for business and leisure travellers, while guests will also enjoy chauffeur driven airport collection in E-class Mercedes limousines.

Headquartered in Brussels, Conrad Hotels represents 16 luxury properties worldwide, including one currently under development in Bali.

Conrad Hotels says it offers value to its business and leisure customers, establishing and maintaining the highest levels of service delivery with the 'Conrad Service Culture'.
