Six Continents Hotels has appointed Mark Timbrell as its new regional director of sales and marketing in Jordan.
Timbrell will be in charge of sales and marketing at the Hotel InterContinental Jordan, Holiday Inn Amman, Crown Plaza Resort Petra and the soon to be rebranded Amra Crowne Plaza Hotel Amman. He has held several key posts in sales and marketing as well as food and beverage in Bahrain, Jordan and London previously. Timbrell holds a degree in hospitality and catering management from Ealing College in London and brings with him 19 years of experience in the industry, with more than 10 of those in management positions. Meanwhile, the InterContinental Jordan has recently appointed a new executive housekeeper. Kirsten Hilger has held several posts in the Middle East and Europe after obtaining her hospitality degree from a university in Germany. She is fluent in German, English, French, Portuguese and Arabic.
