The Setai Miami ... an intimate, serene oceanfront destination

Prepping up for the influx of travellers this year, The Setai Miami beach hotel in Florida, US, has revitalised its services to give a whole new meaning to a seamless travel experience.

PICTURESQUE VIEWS

Located just 20 minutes from the Miami airport, the 124-room all-suite hotel offers travellers an intimate, serene oceanfront destination in the heart of South Beach.

Artfully combining the rich architectural history of the neighbourhood and its cultural diversity with the international Art Deco movement, the hotel’s Ocean Suites and Art Deco Suites offer the finest personal service for its guests.

Guests can choose from one-to-four bedroom Ocean Suites, each offering picturesque views of the South Beach, exquisite Asian-inspired artistry and a peaceful space to calm the mind, Ivan Bauza, director of sales and marketing at The Setai, tells TTN.

'The Setai is the only hotel in Miami that offers three- and four-bedroom suites, making it increasingly popular among the Middle Eastern travellers to Miami. That’s why 30 per cent of our guests are families,' he says.

On an average, the hotel receives 40 per cent of its guests from within the US while the other 60 per cent constitutes international guests.

'The Middle East outbound market accounts for a percentage of our guests, generally in terms of revenue-based stays and not many overnight stays,' he says.

LIVE LIKE A KING

With every reservation, The Ocean Suites guests enjoy inclusive services and amenities including round-trip airport transfers; flexible check-in and check-out times; en suite non-alcoholic beverages, replenished throughout the day; a 45-minute spa treatment; and introductory membership to The Leading Hotels of the World Leaders Club.

The Art Deco Suites, on the other hand, blend Asian influences with an air of serenity. Located in the hotel’s landmark Art Deco building, originally erected in the early 1930s, these suites feature original Asian-inspired artwork and authentic artefacts. Ranging from studio suites to bi-level suites, the Asian-style décor and inventive use of space come together to create a harmony of place and purpose.

The highlight, however, is the stunning 10,000-sq-ft Ocean Suite penthouse, spanning the 40th floor of the Setai. The penthouse boasts wraparound balconies, a gourmet kitchen, two living rooms, four separate bedrooms, a private infinity pool and Jacuzzi. Guests can access the penthouse through a private elevator that takes them directly into the residence’s foyer.

The Setai takes customer-centric service to a new level with a 24-hour breakfast option to cater to travellers coming from afar as their time zones may not match with the destination.

Adding to the luxurious offerings, the hotel features three temperature-controlled outdoor pools, a private beach, a full-service spa and several on-site eateries, from casual to fine dining.

'What I feel is unique about The Setai is the privacy of the pools. We have one dedicated for kids and families and two other pools that are more private. The pools are not accessible to non-Setai guests, offering guests a more exclusive and private experience,' Bauza says.

A TASTE OF LUXURY

Furthermore, the property has expanded its gastronomic offerings with the opening of Jaya, its new Asian restaurant.

Jaya, which means ‘victory’ in Sanskrit, incorporates many traditional culinary techniques from wok stations to tandoor ovens.
