MARSA Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha, Qatar’s new luxury resort has officially opened its doors to welcome visitors and guests.

There are more than half a million pieces of mother-of-pearl across the hotel; 330,000 decorating the walls and 280,000 hand carved into the furniture. Additionally, the stunning hand-blown Murano glass oyster chandeliers from Italy showcase Kempinski’s attention to detail, boasting over 44,000 pieces across four chandeliers within the hotel’s lobby, taking over six weeks to assemble.A truly ocular experience has been created for guests with Marsa Malaz Kempinski, showcasing more than 3,000 pieces of art, ranging from paintings to sculptures, exhibited both indoors and outdoors, created by artists from around the world. This includes Doha-based artist Ahmed Al Bahrani who crafted the iconic ‘horse’ sculpture visible upon entering the island of Marsa Malaz Kempinski. It’s the finer details that exude the intricacy put into this hotel; there are over 3,000 pieces of handcrafted glasses and over 9,000 pieces of handcrafted chinaware created especially for Marsa Malaz Kempinski.
