THE Kempinski Hotel Mall of The Emirates in Dubai, UAE, has unveiled 118 renovated rooms as part of the hotel’s refurbishment programme.

Each guestroom is now equipped with an iPad, allowing guests to control their television, order room service, make a restaurant reservation, book a spa treatment and access Mall of the Emirates information. Future plans will even see the iPads being able to control the room’s curtains, AC and lights.

“We are really excited to show our new rooms to our guests and get the first feedback on our fresh look and innovative technology,” says genral manager Konstantin Zeuke. “Even though the hotel is only eight years old, we are lucky to be able to propose a fresh room design for our guests with the latest technology and artistic designs. We made also made sure to support local talents when choosing the art in the rooms.”

The room enhancement completes the third phase of a refurbishment which started in 2012. The hotel has since modernised the lobby and doubled the size of the driveway, while also opening the Spanish restaurant Salero Tapas & Bodega and  opening an art gallery.
