ON a recent trip to the US, I had the opportunity try United’s Economy Plus service. Economy Plus seats are at the front of the economy cabin and offer more leg room and also the ease of getting off the plane fairly quickly.
Economy plus seats can be purchased anytime you are selecting seats, from ticket purchase to check-in on United.com or at an airport kiosk. The costs vary depending on the route. Economy Plus seats are subject to availability, however if you/your client is a MileagePlus Premier Platinum member and higher, they can enjoy advance complimentary access for themselves and up to eight companions, and Premier Gold members enjoy advance complimentary access for themselves and one companion. Premier Silver members continue to enjoy complimentary space-available access to Economy Plus for themselves and one companion upon check in. By Kim Thomson
