Lao is ... bespoke South East Asian concept

A UNIQUE and contemporary dining experience debuts at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah with the opening of Lao, a bespoke concept that brings the best of South East Asian cuisine to the UAE.

Inspired by the ancient Lao tribe that populated South Asia in the first millennium, this restaurant takes food lovers on an exotic journey, offering a new interpretation of delectable flavours from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Jan Moenkedieck, general manager, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah says: “Lao is a bespoke South East Asian concept designed especially for Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, and draws from the rich heritage and simplicity of living that the Lao people were known for. Their food has impacted diverse Asian cultures and it is this unique diversity and heritage that we are delighted to bring to our guests in Dubai under the expert charge of our Head Chef, Chef Mai and her culinary crew. The authenticity of Lao is reflected in both the menu and ambience, and we are certain diners will thoroughly relish the experience, in addition to our wide variety of F&B options.”
