THE Vienna Tourist Board conducted a special promotional campaign “Vienna Games” to engage and educate travel agents on the destination, in an interactive manner.

Agents were dived into groups, and were given a map to visit various rooms where participating companies set up games and various themes where the groups could earn points.

Prizes were presented at the end of the event to the highest scoring team. A raffle was also held for a trip to Vienna inclusive of accommodation, free visit to key attractions in the city and a tour package.

Participating at this event with Vienna Tourist Board were Zoo Vienna, Holiday Inn Vienna City, Best Western Premier Harmonie, Courtyard by Marriott Vienna, Austria Trent Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Hotels, and Hausdermusik. Vienna will also be celebrating 150 years of the Ringstasse in 2015.

Vienna’s visitors from the Middle East have doubled since 2008 with over 277,500 overnight stays 81,000 from the UAE alone, a growth of 15.2 per cent. In 2012, Vienna was named the worlds’ most livable city for the fourth year running by Mercer.
