Plaza Premium Lounge for Bengaluru

PLAZA Premium Lounge announced the arrival of its services in Bengaluru International Airport. The company will be opening two pay-in-lounges and one day hotel at the Airport. The new location will join the company’s established Indian network of Premium Airport Services in New Delhi and Hyderabad, bringing the grand total of operations from 10 to 13 in India. 

The Plaza Premium Lounge Day Hotel will be Bengaluru’s first ever day hotel at the Airport. The 6,100 sq ft property will be located in landside featuring rooms with fitted showers, beds, wi-fi, TV and intercom to provide a comfortable stay for people on the go.

 

ME by Meliá Dubai unveiled

Meliá Hotels International has unveiled plans to launch ME by Meliá in the Opus building, developed by real estate company Omniyat and located in the Burj Khalifa district of Dubai, UAE.

This will be architect Zaha Hadid’s first hotel project for which she will design all of the interiors and exteriors. Opening in 2016, the hotel will include Michelin-star restaurants and exclusive international food and beverage brands, distributed across 250,000 sq ft. ME Dubai’s facilities will also be extended to the owners of the exclusive serviced apartments located on the upper floors, including four penthouses with private roof terraces.

 

IHG and TAJ RP sign deal

INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels Group (IH) has signed an agreement with TAJ RP International Limited, part of RP Group of Companies, to open Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina in 2016. 

The 3,037 sq m, 280-room Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina will offer a range of meeting and event facilities ideal for the business traveller, including three large-sized meeting rooms, a boardroom and a ballroom. As well as a spa and health club, guests will also be able to enjoy three restaurants, two of which will be specialty and one all day dining, a lobby lounge and bar.

The new development marks the entry of the fourth Crowne Plaza hotel into Dubai and the ninth Crowne Plaza hotel into the UAE, as well as the UAE’s first Crowne Plaza Resort scheduled to open in Ras Al Khaimah in 2015. There are 65 Crowne Plaza hotels across Asia, Middle East and Africa with an additional 19 in the development pipeline.

Baron Resorts Sharm El Sheikh wins

BARON Resort Sharm El Sheikh has been named Top Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh Destination for 2013, by Holiday Check for the third year consecutively in the German market. In addition, the resort was named Traveller’s choice in the Luxury category by Trip Advisor. Also, Baron Resort Sharm El Sheikh and Baron Palms Sharm El Sheikh received the Thomas Cook Marque of Excellence Award for 2012, for the third year consecutively in the UK market. All awards are based on guest’s opinion and satisfaction from Baron Hotels & Resorts services in Egypt.
