THE InterContinental Regency Bahrain will return to the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) to promote and showcase its newly renovated convention facilities, and to continue promoting Bahrain’s capital Manama as the Arab Capital of Tourism.
Speaking about business at the hotel, Mohammed Sanad, executive assistant manager for the hotel, said: “Q1 2013 has been very successful for the InterContinental Regency Bahrain. Our room occupancies remained high as we had guests from all major events, including the Khaleeji 21 (GCC Football Cup ), Middle East Oil Show (MEOS) and the GCC Women Sports Championship.
“The second quarter has opened with success as well, as we recorded high occupancies during the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend as well.”
Speaking about challenges, Sanad said, “With so many new hotels opening in Bahrain , competition is at its peak. We at Intercontinental Regency Bahrain rely on the uniqueness of our facilities, products and service which differentiates us from the competition.”

The InterContinental Regency Bahrain, like all InterContinental Hotels, have a solid strategy and a unique vision in conducting business and having newly renovated the hotel, the main focus is on personalising the guest experience with the experience and talent of the staff and management.
The hotel recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation and offer 321 spacious rooms and 31 luxurious suites through its three Club floors, designed in an innovative and modern layout. The renovation also included the 16 meeting rooms, the health club including all service areas.
“At the InterContinental Regency Bahrain, our focus will be on the B2B sector, specially the corporate, airlines and Government segments that contributes largely to our market share. We are at a strong position today due to the success we had in Q1-2013,” he added.
This summer, the Intercontinental Regency Bahrain will offer its guest’s great deals on rooms and F&B outlets.
“Additionally we are launching our new outdoor poolside lounge, located at the Mezzanine floor. Decorated in lush gardens, our guests can enjoy their dinner followed by a shisha in a classic casual atmosphere while following their favourite sport on our giant screen,” said Sanad.
