Dubailand to provide premier Desert experiences

Dubailand, a Dubai Properties Group Destination, announced that it will open up some of its most beautiful areas in order to host an array of desert experiences in conjunction with tourist authorities and tour operators.

A 70 million sq ft section of Dubailand has been exclusively designated to host a number of eco-friendly desert experiences. Ideally located just off the Lebab and Al Qudra Roads, a short drive from Dubai, the easily accessible site will feature several authentic desert camps with a dedicated heritage area and traditional activities.

Dubailand, a growing leisure entertainment district already offers a wide range of sporting, shopping and leisure attractions to over 13 million visitors annually. This new initiative will reinforce DUBAILAND’S position as an important contributor to the Emirate’s tourism industry.

Commenting on the announcement, Khalid Al Malik, group chief executive officer of DPG said, “We are pleased to be creating this authentic desert experience which will be a welcome addition to our tourist offerings in Dubailand, which has today evolved into a growing district with a wide range of attractions. We are confident that this initiative in Dubailand will contribute positively to the growth of tourism in Dubai.”

Desert experiences are unique to this region and have proven to be a popular tourist activity. The new desert experience  at Dubailand will provide an ideal getaway for tourists looking to experience life as it used to be in the Bedouin camps of old Dubai, and will also feature a heritage area to create an authentic desert experience.
