Safi Airways now flying to Abu Dhabi

Safi Airways has added a new flight from Abu Dhabi to Kabul to its growing route network. The new route will begin operation on January 5, with four flights per week, and will be flown on Safi’s newly acquired A320 which has 12 business and 132 economy class seats. Within a year the ICAO compliant airline has appointed highly experienced senior management, introduced a new route to New Delhi and added a new A320 to their existing fleet. Along with the continuous progress of the airline, Safi Airways also underwent a complete overhaul in their aircrafts by introducing a wider range of in-flight entertainment programs and lavish new seats to provide an exquisite inflight experience to their passengers.

flydubai broadens its network

flydubai, has inaugurated services to Serbia’s White City, Belgrade. The new route is flydubai’s 12th destination in Central and Eastern Europe, a region key to the pioneering airline’s development strategy. Flights to and from Belgrade will operate four times-a-week. One way fares from Dubai-Belgrade start at Dh800 ($217) and from Belgrade to Dubai from Dh850 ($231).

The airline has also added two additional Iraqi destinations to its network with flights to Baghdad and Najaf due to start this year. The new routes bring flydubai’s network to 48 destinations across 27 countries in the GCC, Middle East, Africa, Indian Sub-Continent, Asia and the fringes of Europe. flydubai launched services to Iraq in 2010, serving Erbil and Sulaimaniyah, providing a huge impetus to travel between UAE and Iraq. The new routes mean flydubai now offers 14 flights a week to Iraq. Flights to the two destinations will start in the New Year, allowing travellers from the UAE to take advantage of low-cost fares to two of Iraq’s commercial hubs.

Gulf Air takes off to Rome

Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air has launched its services to Rome. The airline will now connect Rome and Bahrain directly four times a week. The new connection into Europe is part of the airline’s strategy rolled out last year. According to Gulf Air’s chief executive officer Samer Majali, launching Rome will offer our customers the best network of destinations through the fastest hub in the region and the most competitive fares in the market today. Rome represents the launch of Gulf Air’s 52nd destination, 10th European destination, and second Italian destination. Gulf Air launched its operations to Milan in March 2011. Special Rome inaugural fares are available for customers starting at BD130 ($344) excluding taxes.
