In a bid to increase understanding of each staffer’s part in the smooth running of the hotel, managers at the Corp Executive Apartments – Al Barsha, Dubai, are undertaking a ‘Managers on the Floor’ cross training programme.
Under the programme, managers who might usually work in the food and beverage department can be sent to the front office for a spell to experience the ‘reception’ side of operations, dealing face-to-face with guests, while their colleagues move across to get a taste of running an efficient restaurant and room service operation.
