Al Yamm and Al Sahel Lodges by Anantara join Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara to provide three unique experiences in one single destination, offering unrivalled diversity to guests. Visitors can enjoy a unique blend of beach and wildlife on Sir Bani Yas Island, a nature and wildlife reserve, 250 km west of Abu Dhabi. Al Sahel Lodge will offer 30 luxury villas, each with private plunge pools, set in the heart of a 4,100 hectare environment, in the Arabian Wildlife Park in the western central part of Sir Bani Yas Island. The island is home to more than 5,000 free-roaming animals. Overlooking the natural landscape and salt-dome hilltops, the property will be surrounded by a lush grass savannah, affording guests a rare view of grazing sand gazelles, as well as Arabia’s elusive mountain gazelle and oryx. The Al Sahel Lodge will include one dining and one buffet restaurant, lounge pool bar and cocktail bar. Al Yamm and Al Sahel (above) lodges will cater to a growing niche market for exclusive experiences Al Yamm Lodge will comprise 30 luxury villas, 15 of which will be surrounded by the natural beaches and crystal clear waters of the eastern sea shores of Sir Bani Yas Island. The other 15 villas, set among green mangrove forests, overlooking a beautiful and peaceful salt water lagoon, will treat guests to stunning views of the elegant flamingos which favour this verdant sanctuary. The Al Yamm Lodge includes a library, small shop, one dining and one buffet restaurant, lounge and pool bar and business centre. The launch further serves to fill a niche market on the island, answering to the needs of international and regional travellers seeking a more exclusive, intimate living space and a variety of thrilling experiences. In addition to the opening of these retreats, the island is undergoing further development with the launch of the Desert Islands Conference Centre, Desert Islands Water Sport Centre and the Sir Bani Yas Equestrian Centre, also set to open later this year.
