A new luxury hotel has opened its doors to guests in Abu Dhabi.

The Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi, Millennium Hotels and Resorts' newest venture in the Middle East, is located on the UAE capital's prestigious Khalifa Street.

"With guest facilities including 325 luxurious guestrooms - of which 64 are suites and 16 are studios, a magnificent Grand Ballroom and a diverse range of culinary options, the Millennium Hotel is well positioned to be Abu Dhabi's premier five-star business lifestyle hotel," said its marketing communications director Min Min Wong.

"Catering for both corporate and leisure travellers, the hotel's warm and welcoming ambience will assure you of refined service and impeccable traditional Middle Eastern hospitality."

Selected guest room floors as well as the Executive Club Lounge form part of the opening.

Set out in clean, contemporary lines, each guestroom is stylishly furnished, complete with a long bath and shower, satellite TV, electronic safe, IDD telephone and voicemail, computer and facsimile data ports, trouser press, hair dryer and mini bar.

Suites are lavish, with added plush benefits such as the down duvet, DVD/CD player and facsimile machine.

Banquet operations are fully operational with dedicated meetings and events facilities on level 1. Divisible into 3 rooms, the Grand Ballroom with its crystal chandeliers and sophistication makes for an elegant venue for gala dinners or wedding banquets, Wong said.

A business centre features a private office for guests' use whilst providing secretarial support and other services such as colour photocopying and Internet access.

The Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi promises also to offer gastronomic delights with a variety of cuisines complemented by classic entertainment.

Located at the lobby level, Citrus CafŽ and Lobby Lounge offers international flavours in a casual, yet refreshing setting. Sevilo's will offer a menu of Mediterranean flavours in stylishly relaxed surroundings while the Marakesh promises to provide a Moroccan experience.

Cristal, the capital's first cigar and champagne bar will open on May 1.
