Emitt boosts space as 4,000 exhibitors line up for show

EMITT, the sixth largest tourism exhibition in the world, takes place from February 10 to 13 at Tuyap, Beylikduzu, Turkey and this year’s show will take up all 10 pavilions at the fairground.

In fact the show, which is now in its 15th year, was 95 per cent sold out with two months still to go.

The East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (Emitt), organised by EKIN and ITE Group, attracts tourism professionals from around the world creating opportunities in both inbound and outbound  tourism. This year’s edition, will host a wide range of major tourism agencies, tour operators, hotels and more than 150 Turkish towns, cities and regional development agencies.

The event is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors with 4,000 participants from more than 60 countries.

In terms of floor space the show has grown 27 per cent on last year and will welcome exhibitors from Adigeya, Abu Dhabi (UAE), Adjara, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Cuba, North Cyprus, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Dubai (UAE), Croatia-Dubrovnic, Croatia-Zagreb, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Kosovo, Kuwait, Lebanon, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, Thailand-Pattaya, Tatarstan RF, Tunisia, the UK, the US, Uzbekistan and Yemen.

As the only exhibition in the region which has grown ten per cent in a year despite the global economic crisis, Emitt will use Tuyap’s newly constructed pavilion and the show’s steady growth over the last five years has prompted Tuyap to construct three new exhibition spaces.
