Amadeus, technology and distribution providers for the travel and tourism industry, has extended its distribution agreement with Kuwait Airways.

The airline has upgraded its system enabling travel agencies to book seats instantly, and agents can recognise if a booking is wait-listed or rejected according to its real time booking availability.
This agreement is expected to improve the airlines product global reach and performance, offering travel agencies and their customers the best facilities.
“Today, Amadeus processes over 30 per cent of travel agency air bookings in the region and this extended distribution agreement with one of the Middle East's leading carriers is further evidence of our commitment to providing our travel agency subscribers with access to the most up to date and secure content,' said Hazem Hussein, regional director, Middle East & Africa, Amadeus Airline Business Group.
Kuwait Airways is Kuwait's flag carrier since 1954 and is wholly owned by the Kuwaiti Government. It operates scheduled services throughout the Middle East and to Europe, Indian sub continent, the Far East and North America.
Kuwait Airways aims to establish its network to reach more than 46 countries around the globe with a firm commitment to providing the finest service and comfort to passengers. Last November the carrier extended its destinations to Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur and the Indian city of Ahmedabad.
Amadeus has the largest travel agency network. The Amadeus System is an essential sales tool for travel agencies, which represent Amadeus' primary customers with over 210,330 travel agency points of sale connected to the system worldwide. About 500 airlines representing more than 95 percent of the world's scheduled airline seats are available through Amadeus.
