Franz Josef Macho from Austria has been appointed general manager of Hilton Salalah Hotel.
Macho has a wide experience in the industry having worked in various fields such as sales and marketing, finance, personnel and management in several international hotel chains like Starwood, Inter-Continental, Penta and Ciga in Austria, New York, Egypt, Italy and Germany. His last position was at Maritim Hotel Magdeburg in Germany as general manager. He speaks German, English and Italian. Macho said he hoped to achieve a better future within the Hilton group and expressed his delight at the chance of managing Hilton Salalah which will complete its second year of operation this month.
