WITH the growth in the hospitality industry in Lebanon, the University of Balamand has responded to this demand with their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, major in Tourism and Hotel management.
The degree has been affiliated with the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, Texas, USA.
Fida Al-Americani, a lecturer at the university, says, “We are starting a worldwide expansion program. We believe in regional and global tourism and we are aiming at preparing top notch students in the hospitality sector from and to the Arab region.”
With the biggest campus in Lebanon, the college offers a three year course that consists six semesters and two summer semesters for internships. Students are required to complete a minimum of 1000hours of training in the areas of Rooms Division, F&B and Travel and Tourism.
