The newly opened Taj Palace Hotel in Dubai has introduced a number of its senior staff. They are:
Nicki Page, director of sales and marketing - Page was educated in the UK and has a degree in psychology.
She mastered tourism marketing at the Surrey University and worked with advertising agencies in London for eight years.
Page had also served in various capacities with Air France, British Airways, Chanel, and the Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Her most recent positions were with the Irish Tourism Board in Manchester, UK and the Abu Dhabi Inter-Continental Hotels as director of sales and marketing.
Thomas Rebscher, director of food and beverage - Rebscher has extensive experience in five-star hotels in the Gulf having worked with the Inter-Continental Hotel in Muscat as food and beverage manager and the Inter-Continental in Jordan as acting food and beverage manager.
His other international hotel experience was with the Inter-Continental in Germany and the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel. He has a total of 10 years of experience with the Inter-Continental chain and four years in luxury properties in the Gulf.
Christopher Peach, executive chef - Peach has had a diverse career in the catering business spanning two continents in three global regions. He brings to his position at the Taj a rich and varied international experience.
He started his career as a Commis Chef on Queen Elizabeth II cruise liner in 1987 before going on to holding a diverse range of positions in South Africa, Hong Kong and China.
In the Middle East, he worked at the Diplomat Hotel (Radisson SAS Diplomat) in Bahrain as executive chef.
Peach is no stranger to hotel openings having opened the Westin Kunming Hotel (previously the Grand Hotel Excelsior) in Kunming, China.
A British national, Peach has a keen sense of humour and speaks French and Mandarin.
Other key appointments at the Taj Palace are: Pradeep Shinde, human resources manager, Mahmoud Abdulla, finance administration manager, Tanja Luehman, executive housekeeper, Vijay Dekhane, chief engineer, Emad Awadallah, front office manager, Benny Williams, IT manager and Scott Brown, Health Club manager and Sangita Chaubal, training manager.
