"Whether it is a cosy cabana or an exquisite chalet, accommodation at Al Bander spells comfort and class. The chalets and cabanas can comfortably sleep from 2-6 people, and extra beds for children are always available. All units have sea facing balconies with stunning views over the Arabian Gulf," said a spokesman.

The famous Fish Market Restaurant is situated at A1 Bander (and Sheza Tower in Manama's Diplomatic Area), and offers guests the finest fresh seafood available in Bahrain.

Overlooking the beach, the restaurant is ideally situated and is open to non-members. Sticky Fingers Fast Food outlet is particularly popular with younger guests, and the Cafe Marisol provides a perfect and informal meeting place for all visitors.

For a relaxing drink overlooking the Marina, The Boatyard Bar is an ideal venue. Situated above the bowling alley and close to the snooker and pool tables, this modern but stylish lounge bar offers a wide range of drinks and snacks to suit all tastes.

The Health Club offers a fully equipped gym, saunas, swimmex machine, air conditioned squash courts and Jacuzzi, and the professional fitness instructor is always on hand to give health tips and advice.

The supervised Junior Club is open daily and gives children ample opportunities to express themselves and have fun at the same time.

The resort organised its hugely successful annual summer camp from July 1 to August 31, offering an exciting range of sports and fun activities to keep youngsters busy during their summer vacation.

Al Bander also organises Marisol packages that run each winter from November to March and include a one night stay, breakfast, lunch or dinner, welcome drink, free use of the health club, one game of bowling and the use of other leisure facilities.

The rates for this package are based on two people sharing and range from BD30 for cabana to BD67 for a two bedroom chalet (up to two kids stay free).
