IN ORDER to cater to the exceptional demand to Malaysia and beyond this summer, Malaysia Airlines has introduced a total of 48 extra flight operations to and from Dubai this summer, using Boeing 777 and Airbus 330 aircraft.
Under this arrangement, the airline will operate four weekly turnaround flights between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until September 2005, in addition to its five normal scheduled flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Besides these the airline will also operate a weekly flight into and out of Kuwait to Kuala Lumpur via Dubai. In essence, Dubai will be getting new five weekly extra flights per week into and from Kuala Lumpur with late evening departures. “With the introduction of extra flights the airline will now operate 10 weekly flights between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur with excellent connections to onwards destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, China, Japan etc,” said Dato Tuan Ibrahim Tengku Abdullah, regional general manager, Middle East and Africa.
“We perceive a extraordinary demand to Malaysia and beyond this summer,” said Vinay Nambiar, sales manager for the UAE and Gulf. “The initial response has been exceptional,” he added. “The extra flights are already open in the CRS systems for sale and the connecting time to/from destinations beyond Malaysia has greatly been reduced thus enabling a greater number of passengers to travel and experience the award winning services offered by Malaysia Airlines,” Nambiar continued.
Passengers can expect an ambience that will appeal to the senses, with quality service delivered by the cabin crew, who have been rated the world’s best year after year. The cabin upgrade includes flat beds, start rate cuisine, mood lighting, sophisticate in-flight entertainment and a multitude of other thoughtful features.
