EASY RENT-A-CARFor Middle Eastern travellers heading to North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand this summer, Hertz has introduced a special early bird offer.This offer applies to the Prestige Collection, a line of luxury models known for increased levels of comfort, elegance and performance, and, in Europe, the Family Collection, featuring extra space and a five-star NCAP
safety rating. Hertz is also offering a 10 per cent discount for June bookings. This Early Bird promotion applies to rentals of seven days or longer and taking place by
August 31.Middle Eastern customers will further enjoy their seamless Hertz experience with a 24 hour Arabic call centre, an English and Arabic website (www.hertz.com) and even Arabic-speaking staff at the key European airport locations.
A RAMADAN IN PARISThis year Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris offers families the chance to make Ramadan extra special with an escape to the heart of Paris. SWITZERLANDThe five-star Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona, located on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Switzerland, offers its guests the chance to become a helicopter pilot for a day during their stay this summer. A helicopter will shuttle guests from Locarno-Magadino Airport to the training centre at the former military airfield in San Vittore, where they will be given a tour of the hanger before a professional pilot teaches them everything they need to know about the theory and practice of flying a helicopter. This will be followed by a 60-minute round trip during which the guests will have the chance to pilot the helicopter themselves for 30 minutes. After completing their maiden flight, pilots will be awarded a certificate before toasting their success with a glass of bubbles. The offer can be booked until October 31 this year and costs CHF2,200 ($2,460) for one or two participants or CHF2,600 ($2,900) for three or four participants.If heights make you uncomfortable go for a splash in Lake Maggiore. With a skipper at the helm of the VIP luxury launch Riva Tropicana 43, cast off for an evening cruise around the Brissago Islands with the new Apéro Deluxe package. A bottle of bubbles and delicious canapés will be served.
