Dymock gets regional role

Six Continents Hotels & Resorts has appointed Kay Dymock as senior vice president development and investment for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In her new role, Dymock has direct responsibility for the development of the company's four hotel brands across the region - Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn.

Based in Windsor, UK, she will be a member of the EMEA management committee and will report directly to David Bland, managing director EMEA, Bass Hotels & Resorts.

Dymock joins Six Continents from Strategic Hotel Capital where she held the post of international managing director since 1998, responsible for hotel investment for the company's European operation.

Prior to this, she worked with Jones Lang Wootton (JLW) for 16 years, establishing the international hotels business in Australasia.

Dymock has extensive international hotel experience and has worked on numerous property acquisitions, including the purchase of the Hotel Inter-Continental Prague and the development of the Hotel Inter-Continental Sydney.

She was involved in negotiations for the Holiday Inn Cairns and Holiday Inn Brisbane.
