The Ritz Kids club provides a fun-filled programme for children while their parents relax.

The addition of an Arabian marquee at The Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh last year has dramatically increased the demand for meetings and incentive business at the resort, a hotel spokesman has said.

"In addition to being a conference and exhibition facility, it is a fantastic venue for our exciting range of Egyptian-styled theme parties, and enables us to offer even more to this very important market" said director of sales and marketing Paul Czuba.

Additional activities for this special market have also been introduced recently, he said.

"A relaxing two hour sunset cocktail cruise enables guests to capture the magnificent colours of the sunset while enjoying sumptuous Ritz-Carlton refreshments, before returning to the resort for a variety of dining options or special events," said a hotel spokesman.

"The resort's unique and private ampitheatre overlooking the reef, can be transformed into a number of options for special events including a Seaside Village or a traditional Bedouin campsite, complete with entertainment to complement the chosen theme."

Designed and built in Cairo by The Royal Tent Company, the new facility measures 990 square metres.

Located on the stunning Sinai Peninsula which has inspired the homage of writers, historians, Egyptologists, artists, divers and travellers for centuries, The Ritz Carlton is set in 100,000 square metres of beautifully landscaped ground.

The 307 room resort, which includes 48 suites, overlooks the environmentally protected Red Sea.

Each room has a private terrace with a choice of sea view, or overlooking the lush landscaped gardens and unique desert oasis of pools, waterfalls, bridges and the 'lazy river'.

The Ritz-Carlton Club is a "hotel within a hotel". It is fully self contained and comprises 25 rooms and 5 suites. The Club offers a special measure of privacy and elegance, including 5 complimentary food presentations daily, upgraded in-room amenities and the assistance of dedicated, multilingual concierge staff.

The Spa & Fitness centre offers an extensive range of facilities and services including an indoor heated whirlpool, sauna, Turkish steam bath, aroma-inhalation steam room, treatment rooms, hair and beauty salons, and a unique Arabian massage tent.

Aquatic activities include world-class diving and snorkeling with a dive centre located on property.

Other leisure facilities include tennis courts, beach volleyball court, swimming pools, water park and easy access to a nearby 18-hole golf course.

The hotel offers all-day dining with lavish buffet presentations for breakfast and dinner showcasing Californian, European and Middle Eastern specialties besides a range of specialty restaurants.

This summer, the hotel is offering a special Family Package which includes seven nights accommodation in two inter-connecting seaview rooms, complimentary airport transfers, complimentary Ritz-Kids Club Programme daily, free meals for children under 12 among other value benefits. The package is available until October 1 and is priced at $1,500 for two rooms.
