Vipin Khattar, Multi Property General Manager at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai and Delta Hotels by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park, says: “Following the successful implementation of the AirOWater system at Delta Hotels by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park, we are pleased with the results achieved thus far.

“We are fully committed to prioritizing sustainability and actively seeking solutions to reduce plastic bottle usage across our properties. While evaluating water consumption and alternative storage options marks a commendable start, our commitment remains steadfast. We are confident in our dedication to sustainable practices and will continue investing time and resources into initiatives that shape the future of our hotels.”

Delta Hotels by Marriott’s partnership with AirOWater to harness atmospheric humidity and produce potable water on-site for its guests is a pioneering sustainability initiative. This collaboration marks the first of its kind for Marriott International in the Middle East, underscoring a commitment to innovative eco-friendly
practices.

The nifty machines that turn atmospheric humidity into distilled water, the Atmospheric Water Generators (AWG) were first seen at Expo2020, and ever since they’ve picked up progressive brands like Delta Hotels by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park.

The AWG units installed at the Delta Hotels by Marriott are capable of generating between 500 to 1000 litres of water daily, fulfilling the property’s entire drinking water needs. So, what does it mean for guests? They were proud to sip out of their bottle of water, marvelling at the science behind it and the foresight of the hotel leaders to bring it to guests, good for planet, people and profits.

Not just with the harnessed drinking water, the use of preserved flowers throughout the hotel, also reduces the consumption of fresh flowers, contributing to minimizing waste, preserving natural resources, while also saving costs.

All guestrooms in the hotel along with its restaurants, meeting spaces, spa, and gym, are equipped with refrigerators stocked harnessed water in glass bottles, eliminating the use of plastic bottles throughout the hotel’s public and staff areas, TTN believes this trend will catch on with many more following Delta by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park’s lead.

While a stay at the property will mean familiar spacious and modern rooms and suites with plenty of natural lighting and elegant furnishings, there are excellent amenities in an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, and a 24-hour pantry lounge for Marriott Bonvoy elite members. The hotel’s restaurant, Maisan, serves delicious local and international cuisine, along with a curated bar menu. Maisan’s al fresco seating gives the restaurant an intimate vibe after sundown.

For special occasion menus, guests will be pleasantly treated to high standards of catering, with delectable items made from high quality ingredients. With this level of service, every event at Delta by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park gives guests an unmatched value, and a treat to savour.

On top of its F&B flex, Delta Hotels by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park is also strategically located on E311 for quick runs into Dubai’s hip districts of Marina and Palm Jumeirah, while also providing easy access to the business districts of Jebel Ali and Expo City. Complimentary shuttle from the hotel drops off guests to Ibn Battuta Mall, Jumeirah Beach Residence, and Bluewaters Island.
