One&Only One Za’abeel opens in Dubai

A leader in ultra-luxury hospitality, Kerzner International, has officially unveiled its first urban vertical resort – One&Only One Za’abeel, in Dubai.

Now open, the resort brings all the life, energy, and glamour of the brand’s iconic beach resorts to a cosmopolitan setting, where exceptional dining, innovative wellness and curated experiences create a spectacular urban stage at the centre of everything, said Kerzner International in a statement.

“At Kerzner International, we have long been at the forefront of pioneering hospitality experiences, and One&Only One Za’abeel is no exception. We have set aside convention and reinvented what an ultra-luxury resort in the heart of the city can deliver,” says Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer, Kerzner International.

 

Millennium Place Doha opens its doors

Minor Hotels plans new Anantara in Oman

Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator and investor, has announced the expansion of its luxury Anantara brand in Oman with the upcoming development of a new resort in Bandar Al Khairan, Muscat.

Located on the rugged Omani coast just 45 minutes from the capital, the new-build 121-key property is slated to launch in 2026. The resort in Bandar Al Khairan, will feature 51 guest rooms, 46 chalets, and 24 villas nestled along the mountain shoreline overlooking the Gulf of Oman.

The property will be owned by Musstir, the real estate acquisition and development arm of the MB Holding Company. This exciting new connection between Musstir and Minor Hotels to develop a second Anantara in partnership, marks a strengthened bond for two dynamic and forward-thinking groups.

 

Ascott expands Oakwood portfolio by 20 pc

The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the lodging business unit wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI), recently shared an update on its Oakwood portfolio. The update follows its strategic acquisition of Oakwood Worldwide in 2H 2022, which cemented Ascott’s global position as one of the top three extended stay serviced residence providers in the world.

Since the acquisition, Ascott has expanded into new destinations including cities in South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Vietnam. The Oakwood portfolio has grown by more than 20 per cent post-acquisition, making it one of the fastest growing global brands in the Ascott portfolio with over 20 new signings since the acquisition.

Tapping on the rising trend of blended travel as guest preferences evolve, the Oakwood brand will be refreshed to prepare for its next stage of growth.
