Global Village 2004 – the international attraction of the Dubai Shopping Festival - has launched a dedicated on-line information resource – www.globalvillagedubai.com.
The website has been totally refreshed to provide a one-stop-hit for visitors wanting the latest information on the 2004 event, which will run at the Dubai Festival City site on the banks of Dubai Creek for a month from January 15.
"Global Village 2004 will differ from previous events in a number of ways, including an increased number of national pavilions, a new-look fun fair including the largest ferris wheel in the Middle East and an expansive international café and dedicated children's play arena," said Alan Gordon, General Manager, Special Projects Dubai Festival City.
"The website is aimed at keeping potential visitors totally up-do-date with all the latest developments in the run-up to this 32 days of fun. It features details on travelling to Global Village 2004, a gallery of photographs, details of the key attractions and the international cuisine which will be on offer."
Visitors to www.globalvillagedubai.com can also link on to the Dubai Festival City website - www.dubaifestivalcity.com - which gives all the latest information on the waterfront 'city-within-a-city' development.
Global Village 2004 will host the event's largest ever number of national pavilions - 38 in total, including newcomers Brazil and Italy.
Dubai Festival City is hosting the Global Village 2004 in partnership with the Dubai Shopping Festival committee.
"An on-line resource is the easiest way of keeping in touch with the huge number of visitors we receive from throughout the Gulf region and beyond," said Gordon.
"It is a truly international event both in terms of what it offers for all ages and nationalities and the geographic spread of visitors it receives.
"Our focus this year is in delivering a high quality, uniquely entertaining event which lives up to the Dubai Shopping Festival's aim of serving One World, One International Family with One Festival."
Dubai Festival City is being developed on 1,600 acres on the banks of Dubai's historic Creek.
