Accor makes appointments
Accor World Trade Centre Hotels, Dubai has appointed Petra De Meyere as resident manager for the Ibis World Trade Centre Hotel, Dubai.
Prior to joining the team, Petra worked on the opening of the Ibis Brussels Centre Gare du Midi. She has spent the last 10 years developing a career with Accor, starting as a receptionist in the Novotel Brugge Centrum, Belgium and working her way up, via studies at the Accor Academy, to become a resident manager specialising in Ibis openings.
Prior to joining the team, Blondel spent five years at the Novotel Sheremetyevo, in Moscow, Russia as rooms division manager.
Of the 20 years that Claire has spent working in the hospitality industry, 18 have been with the Accor group, including four years at the Ibis and Sofitel hotels in French Polynesia and eight years in her native France at the Novotel Thalassa Oleron, Novotel Hauconcourt in Metz and Sofitel 'La Cloche' in Dijon.
He will co-ordinate a total of nine food and beverage outlets and catered events at the Novotel and the Ibis. He will oversee all arrangements in the Novotel at Cafe Cream (Coffee Shop/Patisserie), the Blue Bar, Entre Nous (Restaurant - International Cuisine), Chill bar (Poolside) and Booster Bar (Health Club).
At the Ibis, he will supervise catering activities in Le Gourmand (Buffet bar), p.m Bar, Cubo (Italian Pasta House) and Chianti's (wine bar). Prior to joining the team, Neilsen held several management positions in large resorts in his native Australia.
Bourdon travels have taken him as far away as New Orleans in the US, Budapest in Hungary, Kuwait, Gabbon, Jordan, Egypt and Luxemborg.
