Saudi Arabian Airlines Catering Dammam won the Lufthansa Gold Quality Cube Award 2002 for the region Near East and Africa, comprising of 15 stations.
This is the second time in a row that the Saudi Arabian Catering Unit in Dammam has won this prestigious award, having taken first place in 2001. The unit started operations in November 28, 1999 and won the second place (Silver Cube) in its first year of operation in 2000.
The computation of the scores is done in a scientific and technical manner with Pax Complaints, Hygiene Standards and Working Relationship forming the criteria. The awarding ceremony was held at Le Gulf Meridien Hotel in Dammam on August 19.
