The wi-fi device is available when renting a vehicle and allows customers to connect up to five devices such as smartphones, tablet, laptop or games console, to the web while on the move. The fast and stable internet connection is available anywhere in the UAE, with a data allowance of 500MB per day and 8-hour battery life for a rental price of Dh42 ($11.4) per day.
The service was introduced in keeping with customer preferences, for example: kids are happy when they have things to do inside the car while heading to a tourist attraction within the UAE, having a wi-fi will allow them to play online games. Parents, on the other hand, can use the wi-fi service to browse for the nearest café or restaurant, check Facebook updates, share photos on their social media platform or easily check emails and reply to messages.
Marwan Al Mulla, Dollar general manager for UAE and Oman, said, “At Dollar, we enhance our customer’s holiday experience when visiting the UAE. Kids and adults are always connected with gadgets to chat, call, read, share, play and even work. We want them to enjoy their journey so we are offering the wi-fi service that they can have wherever they go.”
The wi-fi service is available in all of Dollar’s vehicles including the specialty cars such as Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Charger, BMW, Mini Cooper, Volkswagen GTI, 4x4s and convertible cars.
