City Centre Sofitel Dubai Hotel & Residence is a 5-star hotel with an ideal location and a varied assortment of hospitality, entertainment and shopping facilities, all under one roof.

The hotel and residence is adjoined to Deira City Centre, claimed to be the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the Gulf with over 250 shops and services.

Sofitel offers European hospitality with a French touch with 318 guest rooms and 112 beautifully appointed and fully serviced apartments. A modern health club features a fully equipped gymnasium, steam room, sauna and rooftop temperature-controlled swimming pool as well as six international restaurants and a popular English pub.

The hotel now features six new executive suites and one presidential suite. The style of the new suites reflects an understated modernity whilst retaining attention to detail highlighting the Sofitel standards of quality and service.

The executive suites offer a well appointed and spacious bedroom and sitting room area. A' comfortable work space with fax machine and high-speed Internet access is offered for the business guest.

All executive suites will also have a connecting guestroom which will be an attractive feature for travellers with special needs.

The presidential suite offers two spacious bedrooms with en suites and dining room area with adjoining pantry for private catering.

Guests will enjoy a luxury sitting area with big screen television and bar. The business guest will appreciate a separate office with fax machine and high-speed Internet access.

Guests for the suites are provided with VIP welcome at the airport, convenient in-suite check-in and access to the executive lounge, which offers a variety of benefits and complimentary services.

Last year, Sofitel enjoyed a very successful year with an average occupancy rate of 75 per cent. The strongest period for the hotel was the summer month when the occupancy climbed over 90 per cent.

The 9/11 tragedy affected the hotel immediately following the atrocities in New York and Washington during October, November and December, but by January the hotel started showing strong recovery. There was a drop in the European market segment, but that was compensated by an increase in other markets.

The client mix of the hotel is 50 per cent international and 50 per cent from the GCC region. The percentage of corporate versus leisure clients vary with the time of the year, but for the year as a whole, the split is a fairly even 50/50.

Sofitel offers complimentary private beach access to its guests. Transportation is provided daily to a private beach club, where guests can enjoy water sports, sunbathing.

City Centre Sofitel is ideally located in Dubai, five minutes from the airport, centrally located to a number of tourist attractions and opposite a championship, 18-hole golf course as well as being adjoined to the Deira City Centre shopping and entertainment complex.

On check-in guests receive a CityPlus card, exclusive to hotel guests giving cardholders discounts and special offers in Deira City Centre. Accor, the parent company of Sofitel will be opening their two new properties, Novotel and Ibis, at the World Trade Centre in Dubai later this year.
