Abbas Mesbah has joined the Savoy Hotels and Resorts International as its new area director of sales and marketing, corporate, conventions and new projects.
He will be based at the group's new property in Sharm El Sheikh and brings 27 years of experience in the industry, 18 of which have been in the sales and marketing field with different international hotel chains.

Sheraton Oman Hotel has appointed Hady Safa as its new training manager.
Safa is a graduate of the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association and holds a diploma in hospitality management, specialised in human resources.
He comes to the Oman hotel from Sheraton Coral Beach in Beirut, Lebanon.
"My aim is to be a global trainer for Starwood Hotels & Resorts one day," said Safa.

Doha Marriott Gulf Hotel has appointed Angy Dakroury as public relations manager.
Dakroury brings over six years of experience in public relations, media and customer services industry, having worked in Ali bin Ali Advertising Agency as well as the Al Watan newspaper of Qatar. She also worked for Fortune Promoseven's Doha branch and Dana Public Relations & Design Studio.
"Being new to the hotel industry, I am very excited about this position and hope to build on the rich heritage of the Marriott brand," she said.
Dakroury is a graduate in commerce and business management from Ain-Shams University in Cairo.

South African Dee Anne Loreen Dean has joined the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel and Towers as its spa therapist at the hotel's Image Spa and Leisure Club.
Dean is a qualified skin and healthcare therapist. She studied for two years at the Cape Town Academy in South Africa before moving to Bahrain, the hotel said.
She completes the nine-member team at Image to provide beauty and skincare treatments.
Meanwhile, the hotel has promoted Bahraini Hassan Abdulla Janahi to labour and immigration officer. He joined the hotel as an administration clerk in the immigration office in July last year.

Egyptian Majdi Al Eraqi has been appointed as the new operations director of Seashell Hotel in Bahrain. Prior to this appointment, he worked in similar posts in Cairo and Amman.
