Construction is proceeding as planned and interest continues to build for the Marriott Executive Apartments Manama, the first property to bear the Marriott name in Bahrain. The apartment style hotel, designed for extended stay business travellers and long family holidays, will begin to welcome guests next month.
“Marriott is rapidly growing in the Middle East and this is our first Marriott in Bahrain, though we already operate a Ritz-Carlton here. The company also has plans to open a Renaissance and a Courtyard by Marriott in the pipeline,” said Hossein K Garan, general manager at MEA Bahrain.
“The Marriott Executive Apartments was our newest brand when we announced this project in 2003 and Bahrain is fast growing in practically every industry sector, be it banking, oil and gas or telecommunications, and we felt the need to bring in something new to the market.
He believed the executive apartments offered business travellers more space and comfort. “From the response we have had from our clientele throughout the world, the executive apartment have always been well received.”
The fully serviced apartment hotel is designed for extended stay business travellers and long family holidays, offering 188 one, two and three bedroom apartments overlooking the city’s skyline. It is strategically located in the Al Fateh/Juffair, near the diplomatic area, the city’s financial district, Bahrain International Airport and Bahrain International Investment Park.
Other on site facilities include a Skywalk Café, a resident’s lounge, fitness centre and a roof-top pool.
The one bedroom apartments cost $3,182 per month; the two bedroom will be $4,243 and the three bedroom at $5,304.
“‘Service with a smile’, is our brand motto and we serve to exceed our guests expectations. This is why we have great loyalty and the Marriott Executive Apartments in Bahrain has already received a lot of positive interest from hospitality buyers and from the real estate market, who know what we are all about. We have already started receiving bookings and at the moment have sold up to 40 per cent. We expect this to increase rapidly when we open the reservation system with Marriott,” said Garan.
