Cruise ship joins Nile fleet

JAZ Omar El Khayam is the latest five star cruise ship and Travco’s 20th to be launched for service on the Nile.
Built using advanced construction technology according to the International Lloyd’s of London specifications, JAZ Omar El Khayam features 68 cabins and 12 suites, all spacious, luxuriously furnished and equipped with the latest in entertainment systems, plus standard modern day amenities including a mini fridge, a safe, a private bathroom with a tub and hairdryer, and a satellite TV.
Dora El Chiaty, head of the engineering department at Travco Group and the sole interior designer of the company’s hotels and cruises, handpicked the décor to ensure the passengers the utmost in luxury while on board.
The ship also features a restaurant that accommodates a full complement of passengers. For entertainment, the ship offers two elegantly furnished lounges with bars and a discotheque, a sundeck including a large swimming pool with a jacuzzi, plus a fully equipped gym and a wellness spa. 
The new ship is among the few operating in Lake Nasser boasting a new standard of hospitality in the Nile Cruise industry. Its itinerary includes a four night trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel from Monday to Friday of every week, and a three night trip from Abu Simbel back to Aswan from Friday to Monday of every week.
