MILLENNIUM Hotels & Resorts, which opened its first Copthorne Hotel in the Middle East earlier this year, will be represented at ITB.

The opening of the hotel in the UAE was significant for the group according to Reda Moukhtar, general manager, who said, “We are delighted to be opening the first Copthorne Hotel for Millennium Hotels & Resorts in the region, in such an exciting growth market as Dubai.  With an average room size of 40 to 135 sq m, the Copthorne Hotel Dubai will be a welcome addition to the deluxe hotel sector in Dubai, with services and facilities to rival any in the city.”
Continued Moukhtar, “Whilst we anticipate tremendous interest in the hotel from countries within the GCC due to the unbeatable location literally within walking distance of Deira City Centre, which offers over 350 shopping outlets plus dining and entertainment venues, corporate and leisure guests from around the world will benefit from staying minutes from Dubai International Airport, close to outstanding golf courses and with easy access to all main Dubai highways.”
Despite its recent opening the hotel is already experiencing a 100 per cent occupancy. Comments Tarek Elsherif, regional director sales and marketing, Millennium Hotels & Resorts, “We are delighted with the market’s reception to the opening of our first Copthorne hotel in the region, and whilst all our properties in Dubai are performing well, it is quite an achievement for the sales and marketing team of the Copthorne Hotel Dubai to reach such a high occupancy during the first few days of opening.”
The Dubai hotel offers 163 rooms and suites, four restaurants, a swimming pool, health and fitness centre, business centre, meeting rooms and a club floor. The rooms, some of which have views of the Dubai Creek, offer a bathroom with separate standing shower and jacuzzi, flat screen TVs, comfortable seating and working desks with high speed internet connections and a business centre.
Meeting rooms, located on the upper floors of the hotel all offer natural light, views of the Dubai Creek and city skyline, and facilities for up to 65 guests.
Manish Singh, Copthorne Hotel assistant director of sales and  marketing will be at the Dubai stand in the Middle East Section of the ITB Berlin show and will be willing to meet with European travel trade partners to discuss 2008/2009 contracts and rates.
