Ramada Bahrain marks 30 years in 2007


Come September, the Ramada Bahrain celebrates 30 years of quality service to business and leisure travellers to the Kingdom.

Ideally located in Adliya, a beehive of activity in Bahrain, the Ramada Bahrain faces the landscaped gardens of the Government House and is close to the Grand Mosque. It is just 4km from the City Centre and 8km from the international airport.
“Ramada Bahrain has kept its promise to the discerning business guests and leisure travellers by providing quality service in friendly
and comfortable surroundings,” said general manager Hans Radek.
In time for the anniversary, the hotel has embarked on a renovation, several elements of which are now complete. The hotel has recently completed their second phase of room renovations where 87 rooms, including the junior suites have been refurbished. The third phase of room renovation will commence this year for another 36 rooms and this is set to be finished in time for the September anniversary. All the new rooms will have free high speed Internet access.
“It is now more than ever the businessman’s preferred place to stay,” said Radek. “About 80 per cent of our guests are business travellers. They wanted to have a fresh look and we have listened to our customers in our refurbishment programme.”
The ongoing renovation programme covers all rooms. “After the completion of these phases, we will concentrate on the main lobby and entrance of the hotel,” he said.
Ramada Bahrain is one of the first hotels in Bahrain and is an established four-star hotel. It has seen steady growth over the years. “We are a branded hotel. We carry the logo of Ramada, a hotel chain which is seen in many parts of the world. Our clients recognise the name and come here for the friendly atmosphere and the quality of service. Many guests are repeat customers and the hotel is a preferred place to stay for them,” said Radek. “We have one of the best locations in the Kingdom. Restaurants and a vibrant nightlife surround Ramada. Guests are not locked in the hotel. You go for a stroll, a whole world opens up.” In-house too, the hotel offers a wide choice of food, relaxation and entertainment.
Speaking on the overall growth in the industry, he said Bahrain is moving in the right direction with the such developments as the Bahrain Financial Harbour and the World Trade Centre will impact favourably on the tourism sector. F&B facilities include the Lobby Café, where freshly brewed coffee and pastries is served; Le Jardin Restaurant, offering an excellent selection of international and local dishes masterfully prepared by the executive chef and his team; and The Exchange Restaurant & Pub, the ideal hangout for all pub lovers with a range of entertainment including billiards table, darts board and a Plasma satellite TVs.
Among the business facilities offered at Ramada Bahrain are Le Rendezvous Conference Room. Recently refurbished and equipped, it is ideal for meetings, conferences and cocktail parties for up to 60 persons. The hotel’s business centre offers high-speed internet.
Other facilities include the Oasis swimming pool, Oasis Fitness and Mini Gym.
