SKI Dubai, the region’s first indoor ski resort, has added a dedicated tubing hill in its Snow Park, offering visitors the chance to enjoy another entertainment activity in the resort located in the Mall of the Emirates.
Phil Taylor, CEO of Ski Dubai says the addition of another attraction to the Snow Park will increase the level of entertainment on offer and will allow visitors to enjoy a new fun experience.
“All you have to do is collect your very own inflated inner tube, ride to the top of the hill on the magic carpet, and slide down the slopes of the beginner area. It is a simple as that. This is a family activity where parents can join in on the fun,” he says. “We have expanded the Snow Park so that visitors are now able to play on a dedicated area of the main slope and for the first time be right next to people skiing and snowboarding.”
Ski Dubai offers a variety of attractions for the consumer to choose from. All it takes is a few steps through the sliding doors to send the customer from a sophisticated, metropolitan mall to a snowy, winter environment,” stresses Phil, pointing out that the resort’s two attractions are filled with skiers, and snowboarders, families and children all enjoying the snow. The addition of the tubing hill will help Ski Dubai offer a full rounded winter experience.
“We expect the new Tubing Hill to be one of many upcoming activities that will help maintain Ski Dubai as an exceptional winter getaway,” says Phil.
Ski Dubai offers an amazing 22,500sqm area covered with real snow all year round as temperatures are being maintained at a comfortable -1 to -2 degrees Celsius. The facility, which is 85m high (approximately 25 storeys) and 80m wide, features five skiing and snowboarding runs that vary in difficulty, height and steepness, the longest run being 400 meters with a fall of over 60 meters.
Kids and parents alike can have fun in the huge interactive Snow Park, which at 3000 square meters is the largest indoor snow park in the world. Ski Dubai offers guests the use of winter clothing, ski and snowboard equipment. Once downhill, a quad-chairlift and tow lift will promptly carry guests back to the top for another run.
