Movenpick Bahrain to open grand ballroom

A first class business venue at the Mövenpick Bahrain

THE Movenpick Hotel Bahrain is set to open its doors to a grand ballroom ideal for banquets, conventions and weddings this month.

The hotel, which has been in operation since January 2005, is the first hotel in Muharraq and lies directly opposite the Bahrain International airport.
Ten minutes’ driving distance from the capital city, Manama, and the the main city centre, the hotel is ideal both as a leisure retreat and a business destination. It offers 106 well equipped and lavishly furnished guest rooms including 10 suites, 16 non-smoking rooms, and one room for the physically challenged.
The new ballroom is being designed with state-of-art audio-visual amenities in order to serve the needs of the most demanding modern business guest or event. With an area of 590 sqm, it has been designed to be easily divided into three smaller halls of varying sizes. The main ballroom is 460 square metres in area, with additional main pre-function and side pre-function halls for a special dining or cocktail arrangement. 
“With our strategic location next to the international airport, we have already been successful in building strong bridges with all the multinational companies located around us. The ballroom will be an ideal addition to our facilities as we will be well suited to host numerous meetings and conferences, being the only first class venue in Muharraq,” says general manager, Jan Kaiser. The ballroom has a banquet style seating capacity of 85 to 255 persons; and a cocktail style capacity of 265 to 800 persons. Currently the hotel has seven meeting rooms in varying sizes equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities. The entire hotel is a Wif-Fi zone and laptops are available on hire.
Together with video conferencing, business facilities at the hotel have truly come of age. The Movenpick Conference and Event Planning Service allows organisers to find the room best suited to their needs, at Hotel staff will also happily help produce an event or conference.
