Four Seasons, now in Damacus

THE Four Seasons Damascus has opened its doors as the first five-star hotel to be launched in the Syrian capital in almost a quarter of a century.

The Four Seasons Damascus results from laws encouraging foreign investment, which saw its construction under Saudi Arabian magnate Prince Al-Walid Bin Talal.
Set in the heart of the capital, the hotel, alongside the Barada River, has striking views of the historic Tekiyeh Al Suleimaniyeh and Farouche Shah Mosque, and its architects have incorporated design cues to blend the hotel in with the surrounding domes.
The hotel boasts a total of 297 rooms, including 231 standard guestrooms, a range of executive accommodation, as well as four two-bedroom suites and an outstanding presidential suite. All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art telecommunication and data facilities. Views of the local cityscape are uniformly impressive.
Three restaurants are on offer – Italian, Syrian and International (all-day), all located off the Main Lobby as are the Tea Lounge and Library Bar.
The hotel’s ballroom is a multi-purpose hall capable of seating 800 people for major functions, or of being divided into three separate halls. An architectural achievement, incorporating massive large-span beams to support the ceiling, it is also equipped with high-tech audiovisual and lighting systems. A separate banquet room and three meeting halls are also available. A fully-equipped business centre, an impressive outdoor pool with snacks and refreshments available close by, a fitness centre and parking for 250 cars complete the offering.
