Hilton Kuwait is the perfect retreat

Share

The Hilton Kuwait Resort offers an appealing lifestyle rich in beauty and recreational choices.

The natural setting is a blending of pristine beaches, crystal clear aquamarine waters, and verdant gardens. Imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of the surf instead of traffic noise and looking out your window at the sparkling sea as you sip your coffee. The hotel buildings, designed to meld perfectly with the natural surroundings, are a vision of spaciousness wedded to modern design. From the luxurious marble corridors and minimalist furnishings, to the aquariums brimming with colourful fish, the overall feeling you get is one of serenity, elegance and relaxation.
With its white sand beaches and acres of gardens, the resort calls you to enjoy the outdoors in either activity or relaxation. How about floating in your own  pool at the end of a long day, hunting for seashells as you snorkel with your children in the Gulf or taking the kayak out to the beacon for a bit of exercise? The lucky few long-term residents at the hotel say that they would not choose to live anywhere else after experiencing the resort as a home.
Besides the overwhelming outdoor environment and recreational opportunities, another big plus to staying and living at the Hilton is access to the Hiltonia Beach Club and The Spa.  The Spa, which has been described as a “Mediterranean oasis with an ambience of reassurance, peace and tranquillity” offers dozens of spa treatments and a thalassotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and Turkish bath. The health club, which is part of the Hiltonia Beach Club, has a purpose-built aerobics room, a gym with state-of-the-art equipment and personal Broadcast Vision, and instructors offering everything from Tai Chi to Latin dance classes.
Yet another perk to a Hilton stay is the variety of dining venues on the grounds. How wonderful to have the choice of dining in Teatro restaurant at the sumptuous breakfast buffet, walking over to the Starbucks which is actually in the resort, making your own breakfast in your studio, villa or chalet with their fully equipped kitchens or just rolling over and calling room service instead. Also, when you would like to dine out, you could find yourself having difficulty deciding between the superb choices on offer. For example, guests could walk to one of the many restaurants at the resort, have a catered party on the beach, or just grill steaks on their patio overlooking the beach and let Hilton make the salads.
From a food perspective, the resort has something for everyone. The international cuisine at Teatro, the resort’s continental restaurant, is diverse and satisfying. The Song Bird Café is perfect for a light snack, substantial meal or just coffee and a chat. The Courtyard, outside on the terrace, features quality Lebanese mezze and hand mixed shisha under the stars. Wavebreaker Café, the resort’s seasonal restaurant allows guests to have their meal served poolside while you lounge in the sun and warm breezes. And, of course, everyone will savour a meal in the world-famous spectacular Royal Thai restaurant, The Blue Elephant, which recreates a bit of Thailand on the Gulf. Other dining outlets on the grounds of the resort include Pizza Express, Starbucks and Dairy Queen ice cream.
Further afield, Kuwait City is 30-minute drive. However, shopping is also possible at the resort which has designer boutiques, Italian leather goods and fine stationery, books and gifts, an optician, shoe store, beachwear store, candle store, jewellery, and a mini market for quick groceries and necessities, all on the resort grounds. Also, a new shopping centre, Al Kout, has opened in Fahaheel, just a five-minute drive from the resort.
