With a volume of 26.8 million passengers (+11 percent) in 2004 Munich Airport ranks number eight among major European airports and is considered one of the fastest growing hub airports in Europe.

Go shopping: A shopping mall is located between both terminals, selling everything one needs at downtown prices. Including a large supermarket offering international and Bavarian specialties.
Have a bite: Can you think of any airport that brews its own beer? Munich Airport does. The restaurant ‘Airbräu’ is actually the world’s only airport brewery. Travellers and locals mingle and enjoy freshly brewed Bavarian beer and original Bavarian cuisine in authentic Bavarian atmosphere. During summer time guests even can sit outdoor in the restaurant’s beer garden and watch the airport’s bustling atmosphere. There are no less than 33 restaurants and bars in the entire airport.
Doing business: As an international hub Munich Airport has invested in developing special facilities and services for business travelers and the theory “land, meet and fly”. Internet points are also located in the public areas (Service Centers) of both terminals. Office support such as fax, internet, loading of mobile phones and notebooks etc. is provided by the unique ‘Sony Airport Lounge’ in the Schengen level of Terminal 2 – open to everyone. Business and first class passengers find several modern airside lounges operated by Munich Airport and various airlines.
The Munich Airport Centre (MAC) – located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 – is an architectural highlight. It was designed by the American star-archictect Helmut Jahn. The distinctive glass and steel roof of the MAC covers an open forum of 3,500 sq m and is an ideal place for all kinds of presenations, exhibitions and cultural events.

The AirportClinic M handles outpatient and inpatient treatment for national and international patients.
