Blanco goes to Najran
RIYADH: Mostafa Blanco has been appointed general manager of the Holiday Inn Najran. He was previously hotel manager at the Holiday Inn Resort Hammamet in his native Tunisia.
Maric comes to Dubai
DUBAI: The InterContinental Dubai has appointed a new front office manager, Maric Van Dujvenbode. He moves from the InterContinental Hong Kong, where he was guest relations manager.
Janet crowned director
ABU DHABI: Janet Abrahams has been appointed director of sales and marketing of the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi. She has 20 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
New names at Kempinski
AJMAN: Kempinski Hotels & Resorts has made three key appointments in the Middle East & Africa region. Ulrich Eckhardt has been named senior vice-president, Middle East and Africa. For the last three years Eckhardt was spearheading the Kempinski group’s development drive in the region as area vice-president/ managing director, Middle East. Arun Rishi, previously area controller Middle East, is promoted to regional vice-president, finance Middle East and Africa. And Roland Obermeier has been nominated area director of sales, Middle East. He was earlier director of sales and marketing at the Ajman Kempinski.
New GM at Madinah InterCon
MADINAH: Tarek Al Sulaimani has been named general manager of the InterContinental Dar Al Taqwa, Madinah. Al Sulaimani is a past recipient of the General Manager of the Year award by Holiday Inn Worldwide.
Changes at the top at Chedi
MUSCAT: Singapore-based GHM Hotels has appointed York Brandes general manager and Lore Koenig as sales and marketing director at The Chedi Muscat. Brandes moves from the Anassa Resort in Cyprus where he was general manager for three years and Koenig comes to the Chedi Muscat after ten years with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
New team at Kuwait Hilton
The Hilton Kuwait Resort welcomes a new sales and marketing team. These include assistant director of sales and marketing Daniel Ebo, sales manager Giovanni Petrigh and banquet sales manager, Hanan Al-Refai.
Amal joins Mِvenpick Dubai
Amal Oumasse has joined Mِvenpick Hotel Bur Dubai as director of sales and marketing. She has worked in various areas of tourism, including a French tour operator based in Paris. She has also worked in the Meridien Hotel Montparnasse in Paris France, and most recently with Sheraton Deira Hotel in Dubai.
