Sheraton joins Dubai gala with specials

Dubai Sheraton offers a truly Japanese experience.

Sheraton Dubai Hotel and Towers will be joining in the Dubai Summer Surprises with its own special rates and activities.

The hotel is offering Deluxe Single/Double rooms at Dh400 ($108) inclusive of breakfast and all taxes.

The special summer offer also includes complimentary airport transfers, in-room amenities upon arrival, complimentary use of the hotel health club, pool area and tennis court, said a hotel spokesman.

All children under 12 years of age stay in the hotel free of charge, provided they are in their parent's room and provided they are using existing bedding.

"The hotel will also be part of several summer surprise activities including cooking and carving demonstrations and table setting and napkin folding classes for children at Al Bustan Centre and Residence and Al Ghurair City in June and July," said the spokesman.

Sheraton Dubai Hotel and Towers is situated on the bank of the Dubai Creek, within walking distance from the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, City Centre (shopping mall), Al Ghurair City, the Gold Souk and only a few minutes drive from the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The hotel features panoramic views of both the Dubai Creek and Dubai city.

All rooms feature a fax machine, eye-level data port, video, Hi-Fi, interactive TV and personal safe.

Located on the top floors of the hotel, the Towers rooms offer guests personalised butler service.

The hotel is currently building a new conference centre which will include four state-of-the-art meeting rooms.

The Deira Room (141 square metres), the Dhaid Room (74 sq m), the Dibba Room (74 sq m) and the Smart Boardroom (31 sq metres) are located on the ground floor with entrance opening separately to the car park.

The conference centre is scheduled to open by the end of August.

The Dubai Ballroom is conveniently located on the ground floor adjacent to the main entrance and offers a total of 567 sq m of meeting/function that can be divided into 3 separate rooms and a foyer area, ideal to be used as a plenary room along with break-out areas.

All standard meeting equipment may be provided free of charge.

The hotel offers a wide range of meeting support services including audio-video technicians, attendee registration, decoration service, electricians, print shop, guard, messenger, musicians, photographs, excursions and entertainment, first aid.

The hotel also has introduced a unique concept in Dubai - two specially designed Japanese rooms which offer a complete Japanese experience in the middle of Dubai.

Each one of the Japanese rooms feature two TVs, a CD player, a video, an alarm clock, Tatami flooring, Shoji screening, a Futon bed area, kimonos, a Bonsai garden and a private balcony for the authentic Japanese experience. Amenities include refreshments and fresh fruits.

"They are very popular even with Europeans, mainly between the ages of 25-40, who are looking for a 'different' hotel experience," says public relations manager Elena Mendez.

"We also found that our Japanese clientele appreciate the fact that we have gone out of our way to make them feel at home". Most of the hotel rooms offer panoramic views of the Dubai Creek.

The hotel, also has renovated hotel guest rooms, a new Italian restaurant with unbeatable views of the Dubai Creek and a newly relocated and refurbished Ashiana restaurant which for 19 years has had the reputation of being the best Indian restaurant in town.
