Airlines Air India to launch new service November 2003 387 Share Air India has launched a new service from Muscat to Calicut, offering two weekly flights, the carrier announced.The new service operates on Tuesdays and Fridays. Free gifts, besides a trolley bag, will be given away as introductory offer to passengers travelling to Calicut, said Dalpat Amariwala, Air India country manager for Oman. AI passengers also benefit from 50 kg baggage allowance, he said. AI is the only airline that provides free transportation of remains of expatriate Indians, along with a free ticket to a person accompanying the body. Business class passengers travelling to Mumbai (Bombay) and Delhi can avail of free limousine service to and from their place of stay, an airline official said.The airline is offering competitive fares, which will sustain for a while, the official said.
